    Established in 1973‚ ELEC monitors the campaign financing of all elections in the State. Whether the election is for Governor or Mayor‚ member of the Legislature or a City Council‚ candidates and campaign organizations are required to file with the Commission contribution and expenditure reports.

The New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC) has announced the following disclosure dates:

2024 General Election

 29-day pre-election  October 7, 2024  October 7, 2024
 11-day pre-election  October 25, 2024  October 25, 2024
 20-day post-election  November 25, 2024  November 25, 2024
*Only reports filed by 5 p.m. will be immediately released.
