1 In order to qualify to receive public matching funds, a gubernatorial candidate must show that he or she has deposited and expended the qualification threshold amount established for that gubernatorial election year.

2 Each gubernatorial candidate may not accept more than the established contribution amount limit from any one source per election.

NOTE: Every four years, the commission is required by law to conduct a study of the impact of inflation on election costs and make adjustments to the Campaign Reporting Act that affect certain thresholds and limits. These adjustments usually become effective in December the year before the gubernatorial elections.
