  • What is ELEC?

    Established in 1973‚ ELEC monitors the campaign financing of all elections in the State. Whether the election is for Governor or Mayor‚ member of the Legislature or a City Council‚ candidates and campaign organizations are required to file with the Commission contribution and expenditure reports.

    COVID–19 UPDATE:

    Due to the increase in COVID–19 cases across the State‚ the following is being put into effect temporarily & in accordance with CDC guidance. Anyone wishing to appear at the Commission’s offices will be required to make an appointment for assistance. This includes filing a report‚ governmental affairs agents appearing for name tags & for general assistance in the Commission’s public room. To make an appointment call (609) 292–8700 & a member of the Compliance staff will return your call for assistance. Any individual with an appointment will be subject to a temperature check & be required to complete a COVID–19 screening questionnaire.
