  • What is ELEC?

    Established in 1973‚ ELEC monitors the campaign financing of all elections in the State. Whether the election is for Governor or Mayor‚ member of the Legislature or a City Council‚ candidates and campaign organizations are required to file with the Commission contribution and expenditure reports.

September 24‚ 1998 The Commission is proposing an amendment to N.J.A.C. 19:25-11.2‚ Contribution limit chart‚ and a new rule‚ N.J.A.C. 19:25-11.10‚ Partnership contributions prohibited‚ to clarify that partnership entities‚ including limited liability entities‚ are prohibited from making political contributions.
